US time zone differences
The mainland US has four main time zones. Each one is 1 hour behind the zone to its east:
- Eastern (New York): 12:00 PM
- Central (Chicago): 11:00 AM
- Mountain (Denver): 10:00 AM
- Pacific (Los Angeles): 9:00 AM
Most of the US moves clocks forward 1 hour in March and back 1 hour in November for daylight saving time. Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii do not, so their difference from other states changes during the year. This converter accounts for daylight saving time automatically for the date you pick.
